No Spark was created by EricDT

Hey DT Riders,
I have a '73 DT3 250 and I've had the stator restored with new points and condenser. The gap is set right, the Ignition coil is new, and appears to have voltage reading on volt meter when kicked over. No spark at the plug with cap attached. Any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks

Start by cleaning those points. New points often have a film which prevents good contact. Spray with contact cleaner (or even rubbing alcohol) then close them against a clean business card and pull thru.until it comes out clean.

Is the pug new or old - even new plugs can sometimes fail, worth trying another plug.
Also plug cap - is it a resistor cap? sometimes they fail.

I think it is a resistor cap. I'll try another cap. Thank you

Run the black from the mag direct to the plug coil to eliminate any problems elsewhere.

If it is a resistor cap use a non resistor plug.  I had the same thing with my dads 72 250.  No spark with the NGK BR8ES but spark with the B8ES I pulled out of my Honda.  We used a champion plug which cross referenced with the B8ES.

Another solution would be to change to a non resistor cap . Then you could use
the readily available resistor plug .
