Thank you!  And yes, I mentioned the formed fuel line and formed plastic oil line...  I don't recall the oil lines being formed in rubber or the earlier type plastic formed oil lines being used after the 1960's or maybe into 70?  I could be wrong so hopefully someone that knows for sure will share.

Do you have a surgeon mate who could donate a stent to the cause to hold it open on the bend. Sorry, must be something i'm drinking--stupid ideas day!!.

HI All
Does anyone know how to crimp the original Yamaha
oil pump hose clamps. do I just crimp them with a pair of 
wire crimpers. the ones on the pressure side.

No you slip the clamps over your hose

Correct.  No crimp!  They are cool little spring clamps
