I'd purchased the mirrors from Pobits for my DT2. I've only installed one on the left side, but these mirrors will in fact fit on both right and left sides. The chrome bracket wraps around the handle bar, the threaded mirror stud goes through the bracket and is secured with a lock washer and nut. The mirror stud/shaft can be turned for the correct outward position; right or left. The mirror face can be rotated around the shaft, again, to accommodate both right and left side orientation.

Possibly Alan but I'm tired of getting parts that are supposed to fit but don't, would rather not take that chance if at all possible!

I had got fixated on my R5/small capacity RD ones, which are different.

Thanks Alan, I can't quite picture in my little brain how the right hand side would work but I'll go with what you quoted and get them. I feel much better with two mirrors and not just left mirror.
EDIT: I just blew the picture up showing the back of the mirror, now I can see how it can work for both sides

Thank you BRZN!
Hey, I wanted to ask if your bike was painted when you got it or did you paint it yourself, I am looking for paint for mine but am not sure what color I need. I know Yamaha calls it yellow but looking for a matching modern paint is almost impossible.
Thanks again,
Tony

Still the original paint Tony
The paint has its flaws for sure, but for 50 years old it's in really decent shape. I've got a hobby as an auto detailer and worked on the bikes paint when I first got it last fall. Thoroughly cleaned, clayed, hand polished, glaze and finished off with two coats of high end carnauba paste wax.

Thanks BRZN, I too am an hobby detailer, I do my Challenger - clay, polish and ceramic coat. I have two professional grade buffers, 3" and 6". I did polish out my tank and looks good from 30' away but eventually want to paint it.
