Give it a push around the yard, might just be throwing left over oil up top if some left in the crankcase. Need to get a puller though to check the left side seal behind the mag. Possible but unlikely that it's pushed both sides out by force with a case full of oil & fuel below the piston.

Hello friends. I adjusted the timing with a timing gauge, and for the heck of it used a new spark plug. (Now I don’t know what was the culprit

it runs, but the carb is leaking a bunch of fuel from what appears to be out of the top of the bowl? And the exhaust pipe isn’t on, and fuel spews out the exhaust port when it runs. If I give it any throttle, or turn the choke off, she dies.
I’m assuming it’s something to do with the float valve or floats. I’ll be dissecting it later on.
thoughts?

Have you checked the float height? And that it stops the flow of fuel when the float valve closes?

So I switched out the float valve just now, checked the float height, and slapped it back together. It starts and runs at idle, no more fuel spewing out the exhaust. but when I go to give it throttle it dies …

Blocked main jet if it idles but won't take throttle.

When the timing on my at1 slipped (vape ignition) and before I knew that was the problem I also had a problem were the bike would die when I would give it throttle, but a blocked main get could also be the problem like the other member said, I would check that first since it’s so easy to get too on the 248A2 carburettor. You can also just check the timing by turning the flywheel by hand to TDC and then I believe turning it anti clockwise? (Been awhile since I had to do it) to 1.8mm and the lines on the flywheel and stator should match up.

Interesting you say that, I just came out of pulling my flywheel and readjusting the timing (it was a bit off), and now I have the throttle /death issue. When you were having the issue, did you clean the carb as well, or did adjusting the timing fix it all?
I’ll five the jets a good bath, hopefully that fixes it!

We love videos if you get a chance to load one. Has to be linked via YouTube or similar. Mind you that's only useful if it's running but not running good. Gives us a good starting point by listening to how it runs.

Sorry for the late reply, I had a clean carbuerattor at the time (Exactly one year ago) so I just started it and went for a ride.
