DT1 just popped up on 'Trademe' NZ auction 933919676. Must be the very first, having the strap under the tank. I had a white one new which never had the strap but looked identical otherwise. See rubber thingy's missing from the gauges & tank looks repainted as not pearl white-- in my opinion--. jeez i'm gettin picky in my old age!!--& no blinkers [indicators]. I'm cursing the day i disposed of the original frame off mine as broke it 'so many' times in mx back in the day that i shoveled it all into a later frame but somehow just doesn't look right any more. Anyway--check out auction number above.

And another Trademe NZ DT1 930894120, headlight pointing up in the trees!!, just a pet hate of mine as used to see it all the time in new bike advertising pamphlets--just annoys the hell outa me lol.
On having another look--it worries me when i see the kick start too far forward, i'll check mine out cos not sure how far past vertical you can go before things come around internaly & do damage. Maybe i'm just too picky!!, & If you saw mine there's plenty to pick on, then again i'm not selling it as 'mint'.

68DT250,
Yes, 1969-73 DT1 or RT1 kickstarter will work fine (maybe some other years too), primary difference is bolt is on bottom of kick vs. the "4 o'clock" position that was installed on early production 68 DT1's.
Thanks

Another gentleman I talk to also had is paint job come back with a rounded bottom rear corner on the tank instead of a square corner. His is a 69 DT1.

BTW...Based on the info in Tech manuals I've guestimated my no VIN 68DT1 to be around the 2800 to 3300 number. Mine didn't have a tool box and will use the correct parts to move closer to completion on my project 68. My VIN 128XX  68 bike has the early kicker but the threads are stripped. The no VIN bike has the same style kicker as yours. Probably 69 or later. But it is much more robust than the early kicker and will obviously survive longer.
