Hello, Yes I've tried that. The after market blinker works, its just that all the lights when I turn on the blinker switch flash.

Watch carefully and see if... say taillight... dims (or even goes completely out) when turn signal comes on. In other words, when signal is on, then taillight is off. When signal is off, taillight is back on.
Also, have you tried with engine running and revved up?

Thanks Mark, They only light up while the bike is running on position one but they are very faint, and they light up very bright on position 2.
I put in a new battery yesterday and it ran down and and now it's not holding a charge. Any suggestions before I put another battery in. Im thinking it could be a charging issue.
Back when I was a kid early 70's we never worried about having light as long as it kicked over that all that matter. But now days everyone once fancy blinker a lights.

Has the rectifier been tested? Instructions are in the Service Manual in the Tech Library.
Generic replacements are inexpensive, but I kept my original bracket, just to make fitment of the new one easier.

I recently had a problem with my battery running down, and it turned out that the night time charging wire underneath the ignition switch had come loose. You might try putting a volt meter on your battery as the engine is running, and see what kind of voltage you get when the key is in on position, then in the lights position. Make sure to rev it in both positions because it only starts charging at about 2 or 3,000 RPM.
