Always wondered after driving many British bikes, if you move the Yamaha shifter to the right side, what happens with the rear brake pedal? Did Yamaha make a conversion kit?

Yes, Yamaha had a GYT part that moved brake pedal to left side.
I got this one with a 68 DT1 years ago.
Thanks

Thanks for the picture. I guess the 68 DT-1 frame may be a little different than the later frames, up to 71? Can't see how this would work on my '71RT-1B . Where would the short non-painted pin go? The "L's"  look to go on the rear motor mount?

Mark350,
Agree, just looked at my Rt1-B and nowhere for non-painted pin to go as the 68 frame has.
Thanks

Just saw a '68 frame on the Forum site here. That round tube on the kick stand side must just be '68. Maybe just a '68 frame production consistency for overseas bikes not affected by the US standard left shift . The tube was then dropped on the later US import models. Curious as to why the right shift remained to '71? Maybe for flat trackers who liked using the motors, they need a right shift and don't use brakes.  I wonder if there was ever a right brake set up for the later models? Love this minutia.
