Another one back on the road was created by Pete-RT1
Finally got the registration plate for the little green machine today.
Despite the p1$$ing rain I couldn't resist taking her out for a little ride.
I haven't done a lot to the bike other than change the tyres (nice and chunky), new brake shoes, oil changes, clean the carb, pop off the clutch cover to free the clutch plates and change the magneto side crank seal.
The gearing is really low at the moment with a 54 on the back at 40mph it's doing 5,500 rpm. I've got the standard 16/45 sprockets to go on, so that'll be the next job and check everything is tightened up
I bought a rack off ebay this week which looks to be in great condition and will come in handy as I plan to have a few days away next year with my mate riding this one and me on the CT1-C.

You guys in the US are lucky with your plates being so small, these probably take a few mph off the top speed

I see the tear you're talking about. Sure that's not a rain gulch?

Problem with a tear like that is once foam gets wet it takes forever to dry out. Probably #1 reason for seat pan destruction.

Indeed - wet arse and then, a few years later, a seat pan rotted out from the inside!
