Finally got spark. Turned out to be the kill switch. Cleaned it up with contact cleaner. I hooked up a new horn and my signals are not working and my taillight is on. I unhooked the horn but that wasn't the problem. I guess I am back to square bone. I have 1 hot wire when the key is turned on. Can't think what that would be for. Wish me luck....thanks

I will check tomorrow. It has to be one that is going to the tail light .I know the 4 wires that connect to the tail light under the seat are all colored the same but one. It appears to be light blue. Can we post pictures again? thanks

Press the blue "Copy" button alongside the BB Code and then paste this into your post, as previously referenced on a couple of threads here.

If this doesn't work, I wonder if it's to do with the hardware you're using - I use a pc.

I am having to many problems posting pictures. I have the directions but I can't do it. I found out why my tail light was on the switch was stuck. My one blinker is causing the dash lights to blink. I wonder if I spliced the wrong yellow wire from the regulator. I also have a couple wire that are male bit no open females to plug them into. I am gonna go back to pics and try again. thanks

The link to the photo worked.

That black sleeved wire is not original - where does it lead to? It looks like it is plugged into a light(er) brown, which is switched live, hence why you're getting 6v from it.

I would still strongly recommend unplugging everything inside the headlight, removing the bowl, and then doing a dry run without being cramped for space.
