that 4.00 tire is a space killer, but I think its ok. Adjusters are near full forward.  That lateral part on swingarm.  forgot what that was for, but I'll have to be alert to not
hit that.  Is 0.676" clearance as pictured.

Ok, most of the paint come out well, some not. was very pleased w/the color and glisten it gets in the Sun.

Bad:

* Painted front fender and as I was clear coating, cut from hang line and put on a bench. proceeded to drop it WET on the floor inverted. The shock casing in the pic on left which apparently had contaminates on it, will need a repaint also. No clear on that casing either. The one on right I plan to use as is. So two parts need a repaint. I guess not bad.

Good:
I really liked the color. The rear fender on the RIGHT was a pile of scrap metal and I decided to repair the multiple dents and paint. It came out better than my #1 fender and is now #1 yet I have 4x time in fender on left. The new #1 fender came from a 1970.  Oh that fender on far left is from my 74DT360, the original.  I thought it was trash, but when sprayed looked ok.  I've been cleaning scale off that one for years.

Up next...Calif Orange.

Front fender was on way to looking good till was dropped. Those marks in paint are not clear coat. They go down to primer.

Tire and chainguard are in direct contact. See red lines in pic. < 1mm lateral clearance and the chainguard takes a little more than that. The tire fits great without chainguard.

Data for reference:
* Shinko SR241 does not fit the 1969 CT1 WITH the chainguard installed.
* Shinko SR241 4.00x18" @16psi is 4.37" at its widest point.

Options: Shinko SR241 3.50x18 or 4.00x18 Kenda.

Note red lines in pic

Ok, trying to stay up w/this project. new seals and Motul 15 fork fluid added.

still need to finish up fuel tank, oil tank, and ears to mount the forks. A spot check w/drop of unreduced paint directly on the OEM paint job indicates a bit too red. going to try it anyway as I plan to paint the tank white first to back-mask for pin stripes.

stay tuned for a view of California Orange...

seat was torn, faded, foam missing and base was in bad shape. got a blast and repaint w/Eastwood's frame paint, new foam, cover and rubber cushions from KDI Reproductions .

completed seat.

bottom of steat after completion. this part is a headache for me. I have a hard time lining up those prongs just right. I used some contact cement 3M 77 to stick down the areas w/no prongs. Was glad to see the final product centered the logo pretty well.

It's looking great! I put Shinko 241 3.50 on the rear, and 3.00 on the front of my 71 CT-1. Basically stock, except the original front was 3.25.
