I will be doing a full writeup soon, but wanted to just say what an interesting project this has become. I will be suggesting some supplemental instructions to the vendor as the German to English translation can be a bit confusing. Plus, on the AT1 there are some unique challenges.

The one really cool thing is the system comes with a really nice Regulator/Rectifier to replace the stock unit. Amazingly, the mounting holes actually match up (close enough!) to the stock, allowing the unit, which is large, to simply bolt into the stock location!

I also needed to modify the supplied wiring harness a tad bit which will be documented. All in all, pretty. Easy so far, but could be a job for the electrically challenged. The rectifier a
So has a terminal to run a charging indicator light should you want to add one. I likely will not, but you never know.

More when it gets finished - just a teaser for now.

You should take the rest of the week off to finish so we can get the final verdict  ...just sayin'

Seriously, thanks for the info... I'm already planning the CT1 version based off of what I've heard so far!

I was able to get the bike functionally together this afternoon! :likey

It will take me some time to document the updates to the provided instructions, as I ended up making a slight connection change to make it work right. The good news - IT WORKS like a CHARM!

After getting it to spark (Big Fat Hairy Spark my friends!) I put things together, added the neat aluminum air cleaner, and installed the sleeper pipe. AFter one kick to get some gas in the cylinder it fired off and runs GREAT! Idles nice, runs strong and smooth. And after you shut it off, it is one easy kick to get fire in the hole again. Seriously solid. The one additional thing I will be adding there is an Iridium spark plug. I have been trying these on other bikes and they seem to light off just a bit easier than the regular NGK - plus they apparently have an extremely long useful life. More on that later.

One of the benefits of this conversion, is that you can "lose" the wide side case that covers the Generator/Starter and replace it with a narrow MX or CT cover. It is a direct bolt on and there is plenty of clearance. You will want a CT or aftermarket shifter if you do this, as the AT shifter will be hanging out in space by itself if you don't! Pics will be coming which will illustrate.

I don't have pictures yet, but will be posting some soon. I will probably add some here, but will be doing some individual posts on each of the parts for easy of use by members going forward. I am really pumped about the project again.

So just a few teaser pics before I get up to speed writing out the detailed reviews.

The Stator plate installed in the case:

The flywheel installed - note the nice fit and finish!

And what the new side cover profile looks like (It will sadly need to be painted to match the rest of the cases, or if I get really ambitious, I suppose I could polish up the others . . .

In the last picture you can see what I was originally going to use for a shifter lever - a vintage NOS Impact brand plastic shifter that I picked up somewhere and have never found a home for. Still may use it, or may use the NOS stocker for a CT that I have. Time will tell. Kind of like the period accessory and it doesn't want to fit onto my DT1 Suntanker!

A better shot of it:

The Sleeper pipe as received from the SoCal workshop of Mr. MEIS and DVM:

And what would a post be without showing off the scar? :Ugh

Still need to add the chrome shield (Or possibly build a truly custom one . . .)

And a video of the second start up with my son on board. Note how hard it is to fire up . . .

Not sure why no sound, but will add a new link when I figure it out.
