Holy crap Schu, you're definitely addicted. I know a therapist, went for awhile, I quit. It was cheaper to play with the bikes.
:Buds
When all the Covid-19 breaks I'm coming over to play, I know where you live now. :haha
Thanks Mark

I actually talked to my doctor about it, because I've done this collection thing with other stuff. Guitars. Guns. Pocket knives. Even dogs! If something I like comes in sets or various colors, I can't stop myself. Doc said as long as it doesn't cause financial or marital problems, then don't worry.

Hmmm. He said financial -OR- marital problems. He didn't say anything about BOTH.

Your 71 CT-1...it's not a 200,000 serial number is it? One of the damn few with the close ratio transmission?

Couldn't stay around the house any longer, so I went for a quick 70 mile loop on the rural roads. Boy it felt good.

So you said "If something I like comes in sets or various colors, I can't stop myself", you must have a nice Crayon collection.

.
Thanks Mark

I love the background behind them all Schu!

I too had to get out after too much time inside, a nice loop but a good reminder that road riding doesn't do it for me and I'll be passing the BMW along to a new owner if there is any market for bikes these days.

Also decided my CT2 tank was too nice for the abuse I put the bike through. Really though, love the timeless '68 DT1 look, but they are out of my budget and being short, prefer the 175cc frame. As it's not a good time to test the better half with yet another bike in the garage, I had a set of extra headlight ears around...and then sourced a beat up gas tank, oil tank and headlight bucket...lots of bondo later, I won't worry too much when she gets dropped on the trail and from a few feet away, it looks pretty good if I may say so.

Darinm - Your CT is a true "multi purpose " bike - good looking , capable in the bush , enjoyable to ride and no stress as far as keeping it perfectly clean etc..
It is also a great social bike as you will have it out where people see it ( the colour scheme will light up "back in the day.." memories of '68DT's in a lot of peoples minds ) and want to talk to you about it.
Well done , I like the concept.
Go and use it and enjoy it...!!

Nice job! All I can do is second the comments as I just saw it. Would that be a Dt1 II in ford terms? The position I was in was I couldn’t afford to get a popular model, so I got 2 ragged out Dt125a s and then dropped too much on one. :Ugh
That’s another great thing about these though is the ability to mix and match to get what you want or emulate another model. If done right most people other than us don’t catch it. Anyway, great job on a fun rider!
