RickC, one for you. A guy with a snowmobile business up here in Casper somehow acquired this in a trade for parts. A patron of his establishment who is a friend of mine wanted to know if I was interested; said he thought I could have it for free. He called the business owner and asked, did he want to get rid of it? I heard the cell phone crackle with anger, "Yes; just so long as it never comes back here!" An hour later it was falling out of the back of a pick up into my yard. It's a 74 DT175; motor turns and feel very 'compressive,' if that makes sense. I have decided to turn it into a rider. Slowly. But your iced tea on the table made me think of my contrasting weather today...

They stopped having the Progressive Motorcycle show in Sacramento, a few years back. I helped run the VJMC booth in Sac and Phoenix, it was a lot of fun, meet a ton of people.
Thanks Mark

Beautiful area - visited this area 18 months ago on a road trip in US and Canada.
I could imagine riding a Vintage Yamaha Enduro thru this area . Ideal.

I'm a fair weather rider and it's been pretty cold and wet recently, but I had to get out as the last ride finished with 4,998 miles on the odometer. 5,000 seems like a nice milestone to reach. Did a 70 mile ride on the north shore of Lake Shasta in Northern California, where the network of roads and trails is considerably larger than I'd imagined, great riding and scenery, certainly an area I'll be back to, when it's warmer ;)

Taking time off to ride bicycles in Florida, the Delray Beach area, this week. Ran into this guy on our first ride of 17 miles today.
