Next topic...tires.
The bike (and manual) have the front using 3.00x19 - 4P and the rear using 3.25x18 - 4P.
Are we married to these sizes or do we have some flexibility? The reason I ask is I'm having a hard time finding a tire in this size for the front.
Also, if my daughter is to ride this more on the road than dirt, what is the appropriate style to purchase?

IRC tires seem to still support a lot of vintage sizes and they have both a GP-1 for dirt or a GS-11 for road with other options in-between and the other plus is they are usually not made in China.

Been reading through some of the various tire-related threads. I probably should have done that first before posting my question. I’m looking for confirmation of this, but it sounds like we can safely go up or down .25 on either tire.
so options could be
front: 2.75 x 19 or 3.25 x 19
back: 3.00 x 18 or 3.5 x 18
The Shinko 241 is mentioned a lot

As you read, yes you can go up or down a .25 with no problem. You could also put road tires on it. I actually considered that with my CT-1 175, because at this point my life I just use it to ride around town. But I decided to keep it looking original, and put Shinko 241s on it. I originally had 3.50 on the rear, and 3.25 on front. With Shinkos I put 3.50 on the rear, and 3.00 on front
However it's completely up to you and your daughter. If she thinks she's only going to ride on paved roads, you could put road tires on it and have a better, and even safer ride IMO. If she thinks she might ride on dirt as well, and wants to keep it looking stock, go with dual sport tires. By the way RevZilla has great prices on Shinkos, with free shipping.

Any recommendations on a tube? Was looking at a few brands on Revzilla and there are multiple types.
Would TR-4 / TR-6 do the trick? Any recommendation on a brand?

One thing is you're calling it a 1976 but a DT125B. Can only be a 1975 "B" or 1976 "C". Front wheel changed from 19" in 75 to 21" in 76. So make sure what you have before ordering anything.

You are correct MarkT. We confirmed it's a 1975 DT125B shortly after my initial post. I couldn't figure out a way to change the title. I should have mentioned this in a subsequent post.
Given this, any thoughts on the inner tube? Thanks!

New petcock is due to arrive Monday. Once installed, we'll be ready to fire it up for the first time. Fingers crossed.
Regarding the autolube pump, there have been suggestions to use a pre-mix initially until we know the pump is functioning correctly. For the pre-mix, what percentages of gas/oil should we use?
New tires and tubes are on-hand as well. That'll be next. Outside of reviewing the manual, any other tips/suggestions/online videos anyone recommends?

Premix 32:1 = 4 ounces of oil to a US gallon of gas = about 3% (percent is not commonly used in the US)
I would use kick start, not electric start, for first start and kick start pretty much all the time for cold starts.
Make sure to always turn the key off if not actively trying to start. Leaving the key on not only runs the battery dead but I've seen a few overheated ignition coils that had to be replaced when someone left the key on without the engine running on that model.
