2. I bought Barnett 301-90-10902. They are 4mm thick and almost equivalent to the Yamaha 401-16321-00. They are taller than the stock friction plates, enough so that you cannot run the rubber cushions underneath. The ID is 101mm where I believe the Yamaha 401-16321-00 are 99mm. You could use 5 of the Barnett 301-90-10902 in place of the stock 69-75 enduro 125/175 clutch friction plates.

5. I bought Barnett 301-90-10006 and they are 3mm thick and almost equivalent to the Yamaha 537-16321-00. The Barnett 301-90-10006 ID is 101mm where the Yamaha 537-16321-00 is 99mm. You could use 6 of the Barnett 301-90-10902 in place of the stock 69-75 enduro 125/175 clutch friction plates and add one steel clutch plate on the outside.

Where the Barnett fingers engage the clutch outer hub are 2.5 mm wide, where the Yamaha ones are 3mm wide. The narrow fingers would possibly wear into the outer hub more.

I have the parts to try 4 and 6 but haven't had the time to run those experiments yet.

I bought and installed the 537-16321-00 clutch plates along with another steel plate. I used the stock springs and so far the clutch seems good. I don’t have much riding time on it so the big test will be the first ratification the year in March. Thanks again for all the great info!

Thanks for letting us know what you did and your initial results!  Since you used the stock springs the clutch pull force at the lever should be the same.
