turn light switch DT2 was created by htw123hotmail

I have a DT2 turn light switch in good condition but the plastic high beam/low beam select button has broken off. Any suggestions on how to find that part or get it repaired for a reasonable cost? I think the switch is pretty much the same for all of the early Yamaha enduros.

thanks!

Is it the black "toggle" that you operate with your thumb that has broken, or the top of the switch that sits inside the housing and protrudes out of the top and to which the black "toggle" is attached by way of a screw?

DEET might be able to help out, I think.

If you are missing the black toggle lever itself 9 times out of 10 the actual switch itself is also broken where the black toggle lever screw attaches to. Not sure if you an get the switch itself, might be easier to locate a complete LH handlebar switch assy.

Yes, that's what I was trying to get at! :likey

The top of the internal switch on all bikes of that era are very prone to snapping off.

An awful lot of Yamahas of that era used the same basic housing (stamped YHA 205 on the underside, I think) in various permutations.

Check this thread for a Kawasaki part that reportedly works to replace the oft-broken stub the knob screws on to.
