I'd be interested in an expansion chamber for the DT400. I was talking to Jemco about one also.
That's a good looking pipe, AKARA1!

Well OILCAN, it sounds like you have enough interested parties for a group buy. I have expansion chambers on five of my Enduros right now, and I would be interested as well, but I have concerns with a pipe that is designed to use the stock silencer. That o-ring connection might be a challenge and could be a deal breaker in my mind. I would be interested if it had a straight stinger style outlet where I could attach an aftermarket silencer like the DG steel bolt on silencer. So I am following along with interest in how this plays out.

The stock muffler is a major restriction. I tried mine out recently just to see if it was at all suitable for a modified engine and expansion pipe. It ran terribly and sounded worse than the modern silencer.

Keep us posted, Oilcan. I'm familiar with Aen from my snowmobile days, they made good stuff.
Agree with Schu above, not sure the stock silencer will be a winner with a good pipe. Maybe they can create some flexibility here?
Look forward to seeing how this progresses, thanks for the legwork!

Apparently the Aen pipe potential is old and not moving forward. For those interested, Jemco does make an expansion chamber for the DT400, both twin and single shock models. Version below for a 78 looks great, but they are pricey. Patty at Jemco, This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
One option, but I'm still looking for something a little more cost effective.
