"74 250 shows it pulling from under the motor--just saying. Cheers.
ps, so if that 'is' the case the cable would need to be longer overal.

Have you tried Dave here at KDI?
www.kdirepros.com/category-s/397.htm
He does not have either the 438 or the 363 catalogued, but if you send him your old one, he may make you one and start cataloguing it for the rest of us bums. Good quality, reasonable prices.

I reached out to Dave about having all the cables made for the 75 DT250 while i was restoring mine last winter. Currently he is not making these but i believe he intends to its just a matter of time. I just cross referenced the part # for years 74-76 DT250 using babbitts and sure enough all numbers are the same. Im guessing the 363 part # is for the "newer" cable that they came up with.

Take care here!
The part number on Babbitt's and Partzilla is 363-26335-03. As the suffix is -03, this means that there are likely FOUR versions of this cable (ie the original was -00, first alteration -01 etc). It could be that this last version is long enough to properly fit the 1974 bikes, but you won't know until trying to fit.
Also, the exploded diagrams and numbering are crap on Babbitt's and Partzilla. The clutch cable is shown as number 27 on the diagram, but on the parts list a throttle cable is shown alongside 27. Scroll down, and the clutch cable is shown as number 33, although there is no item numbered 33 on the diagram. CMSNL is better.

Thats good to know about the suffix, makes sense. You are exactly right i noticed that too! babbitts has a tendency to do that with their diagrams and lists. I pulled up years 74-76 and only the 74 diagram/list had it incorrect. Partzilla i think uses the same diagrams but regardless i always double or even triple check things because ive come across this issue several times.
