I bought the first one because it was cheap... I did not know it would beep. It did beep. Very loud. Then I looked at the listing carefully and it says:
Specification: square with hum sounds
"Hum sounds" = beep?
You never know with some of these things directly from China... sometimes specs change and you don't get the same thing the second time. If you want to wait until I get next shipment to confirm they beep I will post an update.

I think that is the turn signal indicator,it's that extra bulb in the circuit.
from the looks of it,you wire in the positive indicator light wire into the positive on the left and on the right turn signal circuit. I have yet to try this myself.
the 1971 RT1B appears to have a 2 wire flasher on it from what I have seen in the harness I got for it and some used and 1 NOS turn signal flasher on EBay. I need to study the schematic on that one because it has a 2 wire flasher and the signals themselves and the indicator light in the tach.
Edit: the 1978 DT175 also has a 2 wire flasher on it and the turn signals works great on it. I guess the 1971 DT1E,RT1B and the 1978 DT175E use the 2 wire flasher setup. the wiring schematic from Yuni Parts is crude but I bet it is the same in principle as on the 2 wire flasher equipped bikes.
on a 1974-76 with a 3 wire,it operates the turn signal lamps and indicator light alternately and on the 1978 DT175,it flashes the selected left or right turn signal lamps and indicator light all at the same time.
makes perfect sense how it operates and how the indicator light either operates in tandem or alternately to the appropriate signal lamps. all on how it is wired and what style flasher.
I hope it makes sense to you. I can make a video on this little detail on that subtle difference and how one can tell it is using a 2 wire or 3 wire flasher.

Yes, this does make sense. I deferred to my Dad, he's 77, but a retired Electrical Engineer, and he confirmed that if a 2 pin relay is used, put a Y connector on the loose Pilot wire and run two wires from the Y connector (pilot line) to the rear (or front) power line of the left and right signals. This way, when the signals blink they also light the blinker (pilot) light on your tach gauge. I think this is basically what you just wrote.

Your Dad obviously knows what he is talking about and your explanation is exactly what you need to do. I'm not sure those "wiring diagrams" posted by the ebay seller were very helpful... they showed two styles... a three wire flasher with a single flasher indicator (pilot) and a two wire flasher with a separate right and left indicator... Apples and oranges... not "conversion" instructions.
Thank you and thank your Dad... I was trying to figure out how to explain clearly and you nailed it!
