I posted this on your other posting but here it is again in relation to blown fuse.

Sounds like all my bikes--just work in progress. Hope you find the short circuit. I guess blinkers & tail were running off the magneto when they were all pulsing--flashing. Just a wild guess but wonder if there's a short in the brake light side of things which blew the fuse when brakes applied. Don't read too much into that & just a random thought.

A pain in the proverbial!

Cure for the lights/fuse issue is probably simple but time consuming.

You're doing the right thing in checking for good grounds. Also check that connections within the indicators themselves are good, and that no positive wires are chafing against an earth. Do the same with the wires in the headlight bucket.

Thanks for the tips Gr8uncleal.  I will certainly check those things.  I find it amazing how many times I find wires running through sheet metal, steel rod, etc. with no grommet or insulation.  I look at this project as a way of "modernizing" all of those things!
