Might still need a clean, though, as they might have a protective film over them.

You'd be very lucky to get a light by turning the mag by hand. Put it in say third gear & get someone to force the wheel around & headlight might glimmer. Ideally start the motor for headlight, but think you're still chasing spark?.

Yeah, still chasing a spark haha. I still can’t get the indicators to work off the battery either, but that feels secondary to gettinf rhe thing started right now

I used K&S Technologies points. They looked and felt like the originals. And yes, I ser the timing after install using my OG Yamaha dial gauge etc

the ignition coil seems funky (even thoufh it is new) so I ordered another. Hopefully that gets me somewhere!

With flashers you could join the wires at the flasher unit & just test them as lights just to get that far then hook wires to the unit if work ok as lights.

Great minds think alike! Already checked, they work fine on their own, and I connect either one to a light brown general circuit they even work off the switch.

Well there ya go. Forget the flasher relay & just move your finger rapidly on the switch--or not haha.
