I cannot help but im interested in hearing, as well. Im curious as to why you feel you need to do something to your front shocks. I have a 1971 AT1C i have been working on. I have not done anything to front shocks. They seem to work fine when i ride it but i do not know about the oil level and or internal parts.

There are at least 3 or 4 threads already on the forum about how to do this; it's an easy operation, and the manual covers this in detail as well. See the Tech Library in the toolbar above. The 71's will be a little different from the 75's, but both are very similar. If, after your research you have any specific questions, ask, and people will chime in. But as for the standard procedure, no sense repeating it again and again.

And when searching, use the term 'front forks' rather than shocks; shocks are the rear units, and forks are the fronts.

Here's three pages of threads on fork rebuilding. Have at it!
