DT 360 Parts was created by beerens20

Hey all, started working on cleaning up my 360 and am having trouble finding parts. For example a seat latch. The 250 and 400 models look similar, does anyone know if the seat latch for a dt 250 would fit my 360?

A good starting point is to check out the Partzilla and CMSNL websites.

Follow your nose to a specific part and both sites show which other models used that part. My only caveat is that both sites' databases don't hold parts lists for every model throughout the world, they are very US orientated.

I use Partzilla also, but Speed and Sport has the parts books which you can look at quite easily. To answer your seat latch question, you could compare the part numbers on a website like one of those  mentioned. If they are the same # then that "broadens" your search.

I just looked at a parts book. The DT250A and DT360A both take a seat latch assembly 438-24705-01-00.

The 1975 DT250B and DT400B take a seat latch assembly 2A3-24705-00, with an upgraded(?)  # 1K8-24705-00-00

I have no idea what the difference is, but those years and models are so very similar that I would hazard a guess that if you had none at all, and found one of those, it would work ok. They are locking latches (with a key).

Another good habit to get into when looking for parts is to research exactly what a part looks like - CMSNL has some photos of new parts, use photos on here, fleabay and the internet in general. Many sellers inadvertently misdescribe parts that they are selling!

This is why I try to get an original parts manual, so that I can resolve what the original pre-superseded part number was.  And then search for that too in parts resources.

When I go to the seat page, you can see that the original part for the DT250 B&C and DT400 B&C, number 10 in the diagram, was the same as the DT250 A and DT360A, namely 438-24705-01  .

I hope that helps.

Yes 100% helps. I bought repair manual but it looks like I need to find one of these parts manual to help my search be easier.

Since you probably would get one for the DT360A, just let me know if you need any info from the DT250/400 B/C parts manual.

check out post 131 in my resto thread.  I powder-coated three seat latches.   They are not perfect, but they look pretty good.
Do you need the key lock assembly also?  I might have it and I know I have the latch arm.

If this is what you need, let me know. No charge.  Message me your address.
