Exhaust o'ring was created by peteyam54

Hello, I'm missing the o'ring that goes between the silencer and exhaust on my DT250A (p/n 9321027250). Anybody know where I can get one, or can tell me the diameter so I can try and source a replacement. Thanks

Thanks for the response - unfortunately I'm in the UK and I really can't justify £40 for an o'ring. I'm sure if I can get the measurements, I can find something suitable? Cheers

Yes, ditto!

If you have both parts of the exhaust, can you not work out the dimensions yourself? I would imagine that the external diameter would be about 1mm larger than the internal diameter of the exhaust and the internal diameter about 1mm less than the external diameter of the groove in the tailpipe that it sits in.

Just had a moment of perspiration, I mean inspiration (

) and have had a look at my original parts book. This shows dimensions as "3.1 - 27.4". The first number is the section area (thickness x 2?) and the second is the internal diameter, both in mm. However, I'm not certain of this interpretation, so would like others to confirm. It could be, from the part number, that the external diameter is 27mm and the internal 25mm.

Thanks - that's really helpful. I'll check measurements to see if that confirms size. I thought I'd found a perfect o'ring to fit the end pipe but it was too thick to go into other end - so it needs to be fairly thin (and presumaby made of a heat resistant material too). If that fails, I might try DEET's offer! Cheers

I think that I've managed a half decent scan of the relevant page, so that you can see what I'm talking about.

The REALLY observant amongst you will notice the different badge on the exhaust - it is a parts book for the European models.

If you do go the DEET route, just see if he has anything else that you need, so that you aren't paying postage for just one item.

Alan, o-rings are typically specified by section and internal diameter.
Looking at your manual I would say it is 3.1mm section with 27.4mm ID.
