I've searched around the forum with conflicting answers, looking at a crank but the seller lists as 250 and 400.

Absolutely NO.

This is a remnant of the "shared parts lists" that you will see discussed many, many times if you've read through the forum.

That's interesting looking at partzilla & swapping from one diagram to the other. As Mark says NO--well not in theory but possibly in practice with mods. I'll probably bolt straight in but the extra stroke will have the piston coming out the top going 400 into a 250. Did that with a 360 crank in a 250. Anyway--sorry, i'm sure i'm off the case & the reason for your question. Made a fast 250 though haha, going 360 crank when i spaced the cyllnder up 6mm. Ok i'm talking a 360 crank in a 250 but conversely a 250 crank in a 400 would make a slow 400--or 3 something cc. Ignore me!!.

The more i look at the rest of the two parts lists the more confused i become. I'll stop looking.
