The '74 DT360A Lives! And what's a good carb kit and front brake cable to order?

My friend Hondarider just rebuilt the engine on my '74 DT360A that I've been piddling around with for more than 5 years, and it's sounding and looking good!

I almost gave up on this thing when I couldn't get it any farther because of my limited engine skills. Thankfully the Lord led me to Michael, who only lives 2 miles from me!

He's done a great job on it, and it's not far from hitting the trails. It's flooding out, though and looks like we need a carb rebuild kit. What's a good one to get?

And I need a front brake cable as well, so recommendations on the cable would be great, too.

I'm just glad to get this far with it to resurrect it!

Looking good. A suggestion from experience, get the chain on. I’ve had bikes that the throttle cable got hung up, ran almost full throttle. Only way to stop the engine was to put in gear and stand on the rear brake. The kill switch wasn’t working, even though it shut the engine off at idle. You have a ignition switch so your probably ok.
Thanks Mark

Gonna answer here Barry. My messages is super slow.
Here is a brake cable... ouch !

Make sure the floats are set to the manual and not just flopping around in there. Is that the carb that has the free floating but on a pin with the little caps on the pins? Is the brass holder turned upside down? Was the carb cleaned lately?

Barry, shoot some pictures !

Looks like you got a kickstand ! Yay2

You're not going to get a good answer on "what's a good carb kit" because there aren't any.

Simply buy what you need from Yamaha or Mikuni. Original bowl gaskets can be reused if not damaged. Places like Niche Cycle sell OEM Mikuni jets, float needle/seat, and choke parts if you need them.
