DT360 seems to be over oiling was created by turbodan
For an oil injected two stroke this thing certainly has a thirst for oil. It seems excessive. The cable is adjusted correctly so I can only assume that it is operating as intended.
I am considering a DT250 pump, wondered if anyone has tried that.

"Seems" is different than "is". What makes you think it's using too much oil?

Simply by comparing how much oil I've added to the tank to how much fuel I've consumed over the same period.
By the same methodology, my KE250 averages about a 70:1 ratio. I don't have an exact figure for the DT but I've had to top off the tank twice in 600 miles. About two quarts of oil in that period. I've gotten a pretty consistent 60mpg so that works out to about 10 gallons of gas. 40 quarts of gas, two quarts of oil, approximately a 20:1 ratio. That sounds excessive, I'm wondering about my math, but the tank has gone down to the sight glass each time and there are no leaks.
It does seem excessively smoky at idle as well. None of my two strokes smoke that much, not even the 32:1 premix bikes.

Assuming it is the correct pump for your bike...there are specifications for the pump output at idle and at full throttle. The pump stroke is adjusted by adding or removing shims on the plunger shaft. There is quite a bit to checking and setting the oil pump. The manuals cover it all. Having the cable adjusted correctly is also important. Your oil consumption sounds about right to me.
