I don’t want to mess anything up by digging this thing out, but how do you get a broken brake electrical cable out of the front brake housing on a ‘74 DT360A? I’m attaching a picture of what I’m talking about.

Sometimes if I don't know what I'm dealing with I'll buy the new one and then I'll see how it goes in and what's left there to remove. Just how I might go about it. Good luck.

Look underneath & 'might' be a little slot to push a srewdriver in to release a tag that click in there [or is the my old suzuki], gotta be something similar to that.

There is a locking tab that holds it in, should be a hole in the bottom where you can press it back with a small pick and free the switch

RT325 and long stride are right. I just replaced one on a '81 DT 175. Small screwdriver or seal pick will do.

I don’t think I can come up from the bottom so I’ll see if I can get in with something narrow. There is a tab but I can’t see the thing.

They don't make it easy do they. Years since i've done one so guessing. But might need two hands, one to push it back out while trying to depress the tap with the other. Could be reluctant to be pressed as might have dirt behind the tab.

Buy a new cable so you can study how it clips in. Had the same issue with a 125. Think I ended up pushing broke connector through inside of brake caliper holder

When those break on me, it's the retainer clip and the whole thing falls out and won't stay in. It shouldn't be hard to remove with a small screwdriver or pick pushing in the tab access hole
