I bought this bike new in 1974. Rode it quite a bit on the highway at that time. Then like an idiot I stripped it down, threw the lights in the barn, where they ended up getting lost and destroyed. Road it off road like a wild man for a few years. Then parked it. Just recently been trying to get it street legal again.

That's ok. There seems to be plenty of that length around. Will try motion pro.

Don't know if this was the Brit vender you ordered from but they do say it is for the DT360. yambits.co.uk/dt360-tacho-revcounter-cable-p-83707.html

There are several Brit ads that say it will fit a 1974 twin shock, but since I got the short one I have been asking them to measure the housing before I order. So far they are all too short. Don't think they know the difference in the 74-76 bikes. Good news is ebay gave me a refund.

I spoke with Motion Pro today about making a custom DT1 tach cable 3" longer than stock, they can do it provided the old one is sent in for an example, cost would be $183 plus shipping and will take about 3-4 weeks. Expensive, but at least an option.

Doug,

I have this cable housing that is about 40" long. It was in a box of parts from a 74 DT250A restoration. It is the housing only, no cable. Is this what you are looking for or could use? If you can use it I'll send it to you for the cost of shipping. Look at the pictures and let me know. Oh the housing is new.
