Hi
I am having trouble getting the bolt out of the bottom of the fork.
I have tried it with the spring in and fork cap on but it just spins.
I have tried pushing a metal rod down to hold the dampener to no avail.
Anyone got any tricks ?

Hit it with an impact gun a few times from a dead stop.

Yes, electric or air impact with pressure on the spring almost always works for me.

Several threads on the forum with other solutions if that doesn't work... I need to get some sleep...

Great job! Thanks for the update. Getting that bolt out can sometimes be one of the most difficult and frustrating things to do.

Hello. Can you use a impact gun to tighten up the bottom bolt as well? if so would it matter if the forks are put together when I do it? Kind regards Mitch.

Yes you can zap the bolt tight, just don't lean on the trigger. It does not to be gorilla tight, and you don't want to strip the hex.
