Howdy,
so I lost spark at some point. Used a 6v test light around on the bike, found that the last owner’s homemade ignition bracket had rattled loose and the red wire wasn’t getting power unless I gave it a little push.
so I got spark back! I also drained the carb bowl and re-cleaned it before I Tried to start er again, the pic is attached…. Not good lol. Turns out my gas tank cleaning missed a bit somewhere, terrible looking gas.
Im running the dialysis tank now (aux fuel tank )
then after putting a bit of the premix into the spark plug hole to rinse it out as someone suggested, it fired up then died. Now it fires but only runs with a touch of throttle, then dies.
wonder what to do next!
thanks guys

That looks like main jet, but that carb prob needs a total clean up.

I’ll give the carb another clean, and make sure all the correct jets are on there and why not
While I’m in there.
I also elected to pull the jug and replace the piston / rings . It was pretty grimy in there.
