Ok, so CT3 with a plastic actuator worm, & worm had been turned out to re-grease & restarted on the wrong spiral setting the actuator to far over???.
Good she's sorted.

MarkT, Whoa, I put the disks in wrong?....check your service manual. 250/360 yes, 125/175 no, they are installed correctly. Friction goes in last.

(Engineering Drawing in Service Manual is correct, my bet is you're looking at the incorrect "exploded parts diagram".)
