'72 DT2 here, I'd assume the same tools and pouch? I've added an extra spark plug in one of the plastic spark plug holders and have my registration and insurance card inside a ziploc bag rubber banded to the outside of the (as others have said) very thin vinyl tool pouch.

It looks like pictures are working now, so I'll post a picture of my little tool kit. I changed it a bit, taking the mini ratchet handle out and put in a 10 mm wrench for the shift lever and oil tank bolts, and a 5mm hex wrench for the case bolts. To make it more compact I bundle the screwdriver, spark plug socket and hex wrench together, using a rubber band I made from an old inner tube. This configuration fits very easily into the frame box.

A glasses case fits pretty well inside the ct2/3 tool box.

An old eyeglass case is an excellent idea! I think I have a box of them around here somewhere.

Well I am finally getting to work on one of my 1975 MX400B’s that I bought out of Lucerne California back in August 2021 off of Craigslist, it has finally made its way to the front of the line, what I thought was interesting was this bike had a leather tool pouch on the back kinda like the Yamaha IT’s used. Well today I opened it up and it has a 1992 off road map of Elk Mountain in California, I thought maybe some of our California brothers might recognize, also what I would consider kinda standard tools for off-roading, enjoy the pictures.

Cool little time capsule!

That's a Malcolm Smith tool bag... I've seen them sell for quite a bit on ebay. I still have mine in brown leather... bought it from Malcolm Smith's dealership in Riverside in the early 70's. (They came in brown and black)
