Me back in my glory days when Tysons Corner in McLean, Virginia was a gravel pit.
The hours spent riding my Enduros is not deducted from my life span.

Ummm... I might be confused (again) but the bike you got and you were saying is a 72 sure looks like a 73?

The first one I posted is vin RT1-186xxx, 1972 RT2MX. The second one I posted I was told is a 73 but don't have vin yet. Looks to be a 73 though.

Got to fiddle with the bike a bit tonight, so cool, and alot of the rust seems like 'new' haha surface rust for instance the pipe cleaned up pretty well and quick with some vinegar, a rag and brush is all. Need a chain, just a 520?? I really wanna try to bump start it. Strange but the tank is mint inside, petcock flows and carb was vapor blasted. Throttle is smooth.
Need some help on what part/parts to look for to repair the bottom end. This is new territory for me.
I'm super excited also as I'm getting the RUNNING non rusted 1973 mx360 tomorrow. I even have a spare tank for it.

My DT2MX, not the best photo. Same bike as the 360 in all respects, 'pretty much'.

& my MX250. Not sure why pics are on their side but probably because i mostly 'was', on my side picking it up haha. Oh totaly upsidedown. I'll try & fix that.
i give up, apart from saving & turning to view. Never mind.
Hounded by my boss on an SC500 & the hot shot of the time on an RN400 & i'm sure he would have won by half a lap. To be where i am on a 250 i must've jumped the start lol.

These photos are awesome, I love seeing them. For a guy in my 30s I guess I'm a rare breed to be in love with all this old Yamaha MX stuff.
Speaking of MX stuff, I picked up the 73' MX360 tonight and just got to ride it around the block. INSANE! What a crazy bike, makes my DT400s seem docile! I need to know everything I possibly can about these GYT beasts!!
