Thanks pabdt.
At the very least, paint isn't "original" or even a very good attempt. "New carburetor" could be a red flag too... not very common to find an new original 69 125 Mikuni carb (or any genuine new Mikuni carb specifically for an AT1) brand new. (Lots of cheap knockoffs out there though)
Still could be a nice bike, hard to say.

My comments were not about your bike being up to "my standards". Nor did I imply you were trying to "rip anyone off".
It was listed as "original" when it's not. Had the ad been worded like it is now, I would not have commented.
As far as the carb, Mikuni hasn't made a new carb "exactly like" the 1969 AT1 carb for decades. As I said, lots of "counterfeits" out there. Brand new original AT1 carbs are very rare. (Plus some of the 1969 AT1's had an oddball float bowl design that was changed mid-production so hasn't been made since 68-69) Details like this are important for "original" bikes.. It's great you still have the original carb! (And it's possible somehow you lucked into finding a brand new original Mikuni AT1 "248" carb, just not very likely)
P.S. Tanks and headlight were pearl white from the factory on that model.

No apology needed. I didn't mean to come across as "critical" as I apparently did.
Too bad they didn't take the time to add the stripes on the fuel tank (which can be tricky to get correct and needs to be done before the white finish coat to be "original"). Also fenders were silver, not white.

When that craigslist ad pops up the fist thing I see is a tank with possibly body line fade probably from body work.
I would recommend a new AD picture not highlighting this visual. I could be wrong on this line.
Consider 7/32" or 5.5mm striping and wrap the tank. Grab some silver (just not white) and paint fenders. Will be a different bike.
That MIGHT get ya an offer. Some people really like those old badge 125s.

Here's mine which should make you feel a lot better about your lol. Good luck with the sale & nice to see another one saved. Ignore the rest of mine, it grew a reed valve 175 top end but still have the original parts.
