manual states 1.8mm BTDC. I am not familiar w/that bike, so hopefully this is the correct link. if what I think reminds me of my 74 DT125 for timing. page 73 of manual listed in "scramblers" at legends

Thank you so much. I removed the stator today and am trying to figure out how the points are triggered. I do not see a cam on the shaft - strange. Any ideas?

Cam is on the "governor assembly" (advance mechanism) which is held on by the rotor bolt.

Ok - thank you. It is strange that there is no noticeable cam on the governor assembly like on other bikes. I guess it works differently.

There is a cam on the governor. Otherwise points wouldn't open. It's a single so the cam bump can be and is gradual.

Points breaking at 1.8mm or 72 thou btdc with advancer held open & you're good to go. Gap around 15 thou max too. I worked on those new. Good in their day!!.
