Rear wheel(rim) offset ct1 175 1970 was created by Joe1028
Anyone know the rear wheel offset on a 1970 ct1 175.
bought bike with rear wheel disassembled. Built up and put wheel in swing arm...about where it should be by equal spoke protrusion in nipples.
Is rim centered in swing arm? I have wheel spacers as they were , lh has seal wear mark on spacer so i know it is the correct location..
wheel is about 1/4" more to the rh side and i am worried if i move it left tire may hit chain guard...
a photo may help if no dimensions are available...
thanks...joe

you need to make sure your counter shaft sprocket and rear wheel sprocket alignment is correct

How does it line up with the front wheel. String line from rear to front with steering straight ahead. Seems a pity to have to touch it as looks nice.

Since the Lions were losing, I went out to the barn and took your measurement from my CT1B.
I used a pair of inside calipers and the checked the distance from rim edge to inside of swing arm on the right hand (brake drum) side. Then I measure the distance between the internal caliper tips using my highly calibrated vernier calipers. lol

I thought about that too, because the same measurement on my CT1C was slightly larger, but I didn't want to muddy the waters.

Joe asked for a simple measurement and I took it.
