Rear Wheel from a DT1 / RT1 advice was created by Rendersonique
Hello,
I created a post a couple of months back ( Hello for the sunny UK ) with quite a lot of content. The original title was meant to be 'Hello from the sunny UK'!

However, I couldn't change the title after a short period so it stuck!

. Now I am back with a separate thread specific to my current query.
I brought the bike as a none runner, but after a partial strip down, and a degree of knowing what should be there / correct/ safe, I have come to the conclusion some small parts are clearly not where they should be. In this paticular instance there seems to be a small insert that should fit in the right hand side of the drum / brake shoe housing that is not present on my bike. If you look at the image below this is my part...the code looks correct on an ebay part for my bike being 27500

the code looks correct on an ebay part for my bike being 27500 and this is what I am using as a reference by the description of the part for sale.

However, the ebay part has an aditional spacer that also reduces the diameter of the axle that sits outside the drum housing. Seen on this image as the chrome cap...

This is my outer facing drum...No cap or spindle reducer...the hole is too big for the spindle so play in this area.

Can anybody help me source the missing part? I don't really know what to search for, and going down the route of buying the whole item on ebay just because this small item is missing seems extreme. So second hand, NOS or reproductions welcome

I'm probably being a bit thick here (sorry!), but I can't see where a part might be missing from.

Search ebay for 90387-17450 for bushing.
Chrome cap on outside is a separate part. 275-25327

eBay item number:304403498966
I have a frustrating time trying to link ebay on here lol. Think i've done it.
Also looking at your pic the seal what's left of it has had a hard time so replace it.
It seals the brake plate over the hub because you spacer 'you don't have yet' will be greased a little as its a floating brake plate.
Makes me wonder how it ever worked as it was.
If the ebay number doesn't work just go to their user name on ebay & find it.
The chrome cap has an Oring by memory that sits up on the brake plate step 'without looking' to seal inside the chrome cap.
Got to be sure the spacer sits through far enough so when its all bolted up solid the plate can move.
It should automaticaly be right in length etc but 'things happen' & not always perfect.
If not free to "float" it'll lock up or have a good go at locking up 'the suspension.
If it's very tight you'll push the suspension down & it'll stay there untill you pull it up.
Ok that's getting carried away--but it happens.
