YZ125 engine case mix n match. was created by Murph

Hi, I wondering if you can mix and match the left and right engine cases of a 1974 YZ125A and a 1976 YZ125X ? They appear to be the same.

They are not the same.  Shift drum from X will not fit into earlier A cases for one.

Cheers Mark. I'd found a brand new in the bag LH YZ125A case. Close call. Shame.
