I just ordered the boyesen power reeds. In the book it lists different than what you say.
You mentioned the 606 is the one. In my parys book they list the 77 dt400 as 633? Any idea?

sorry about the misinformation. the part number on the 77-78 DT400 is a 4 petal design and takes part 344. I foolishly went by a Ebay seller's listing and it is way off.
here is my parts lookup page here from Yamaha.
www.yamahapartsandaccessories.com/parts-..._%28DT400D_-_1977%29
this is from the Boyesen reeds page. it does not go by model,it goes by HP and the reed petal count. I looked it up by the 119 hp and 4 petal reeds.
www.boyesen.com/power-reeds-247.html
I am very sorry! my bad in the deepest sense!
I am still checking and 247 may be wrong too. I am investigating this....

thanks! you would be surprised on what is still available. there is things I stumbled on and was very surprised. it makes it a lot easier for us to fix up our old bikes.
Boyesen still lists reed valves on two strokes going all the way back to 1919!
