Hmmmm.....
Now, I am beginning to wonder if I even have the correct pipe. Unfortunately, there are no model numbers stamped on the pipe anywhere so, I don't even know how you would check.
Mr. Bassani has not called me back. He has moved on to bigger, better things I am sure. Maybe I need to leave him a message regarding a pipe question for a Harley Davidson...

For what it's worth...
I received a call from Mr. Darryl Bassani a couple of days ago.
Darryl said the long baffle is inserted first then the short baffle (with large open end going first), then the spring and cap.
May want to archive this information because it is apparently not posted anywhere on the "worldwide interweb".

Whats amazing is that Darryl remembers this stuff from yesteryear. My buddy used to weld for him back then, and he told me they went through a lot of reefer.
