What year is this? 2022! Recently got my CT3 engine rebuild completed. The clutch looked ok so I got cheap and decided to reuse it. We’ll you might have guessed it was slipping in higher gears. After replacing the clutch, Iwas getting some significant sediment in the secondary fuel filter so drained the tank an gave it a good fuel wash until all the old varnish cleared up. Also went through the carb in case any sediment got past the filter. All back together I refused to start. Had spark and flywheel key was fine. Went through carb again and checked spark but this time spark was intermittent. Swapped the plug and she fired right up. I got so excited I decided to take her for a spin around the yard. Hit the berm on the high side of the lot with the idea to test the power. Maybe it had more power than I expected or maybe the throttle stuck right then because she went 90 degrees then back over on me. When My back hit the ground I kicked her off to the side and she landed on my ankle and continued to run until I pulled out from under her and righted her. I was pretty happy to see there was no damage until I saw the Tail light…lens missing, packed with mud and cracked all to hell. Looks like it’s time to go shopping again. I’m not into abusing my bikes but that was a blast!
