Picked up this 1977 DT125e today or atleast that is what the guy told me it was I haven’t checked the vin yet but I believe he is right. The frame is nice, tank is good, needs some cosmetic stuff of course and the right foot peg is snapped off. The shift lever is loose on spline so I’m sure if the engine is seized or not but I could move the flywheel a little in each direction so we will see. I’m just happy I was able to find another yamaha enduro within driving distance. I can’t wait to get started on it. Also guy said it needed new points when parked 15 years ago. Also pictured is my friends 1983 yz125 we got today as well.

Got it home finally the other day as I had it parked at a friend's house. I took the shift lever off and put a new one on and got it into neutral so I could finally roll it. Hauling it around with a locked rear wheel was terrible. Also it is seized up which is disappointing but also kind of expected. The case has oil which is good news i guess but obviously a bore going to be needed and probably a case split. I'm assuming since it is seized the main bearings are toast? Here are some more pictures and my new 1973 Kawasaki 100 in the background.

Also, what is your guys' go-to way of freeing up an engine? Pulling head and jug right away or trying to spin flywheel or other methods? Thanks
