If the compression feels bumpy & positive on the kickstart then she'll run good enough. But if it feels soft & falls through without much resistance or bounce to it then best have a look. I'd like to say stop worrying but obviously 'you are', & might have a good reason. Only you know how it went together or if a ring possibly got damaged--Hope not of course. I know my DT1 has good bouncy comp on the kickstart so must test the pressure just for reference even though its a fairly worn cylinder.

After school today I'll peek at the key.
I bought a flywheel holding tool. If it looks sketchy I will replace the key and not touch til my tool gets here 

I'm so close.  And it ran so sweet for that short while...
