Clutch cover removal was created by kwzl1
On to my next project on my DT175-replacing a slipping clutch.
Tried to remove the screws in the right-side case/clutch cover and they won't budge. Not even with a small hand-held impact driver.
Any suggestions on how to remove them without stripping the screw heads or damaging something?
Thanks!

No sensible suggestions as unlikely some noddy has loctited them in, well hope not. So long as you're holding the impact driver to the left while hitting it the screws just have to turn--in theory. Great thing theory!!. Best of luck.

Just check that you are using JIS bits in the impact driver, not Phillips.

When you refer to a small handheld impact driver, are you referring to the type you smack with a hammer, or are you referring to a handheld power tool?
You want the hammer smacker.
You want the hammer smacker.
