12 v battery for DT3 battery box was created by hcdiiiga

I'm installing a Vape system on my Yamaha DT3. The battery box is 3" x 3".  The instructions say not use lithium batteries. I can't find a 12 v battery which will fit in the box. I hate fashion yet another thing to install this system, is there a battery which fits the box?

Look into sealed lead acid batteries used in security or UPS systems

You may have to rotate it but its got F1 connectors and easy to work with.

Hello, I'm not sure about the DT3 battery, but if you're looking to replace the battery on a '75-'76 DT 400 with 12v after installing a Vape ignition, there are sites on the net stating that the BS BT4B-BS or BS4B-5 battery fits.  
It most certainly does NOT!   Its 1/2" too long and will require battery box elongation.
