Whrre does the battery ground connect?
I only have one black female plug that is open and it’s about half wsy up the main harness by itself. I have a black plug on the flasher under the battery box that is already occupied.
I appreciate any suggestions.

It doesn't - from battery straight to the frame. I'll post a photo after tea.
Don't connect anything to the sole black female coming from the mag, at about carb height - your bike won't run if you do!
Edit - photo now attached. Battery screwed/bolted to frame using a ring connector.

Thanks Gr8uncleal,
My bike didn’t have a battery.. The recommended battery I bought has a male connector for the ground. I assumed there would be a female connector. Easy to add the ring connector.
what is the lone black female connector in the middle of the harness used for?

Some sort of service wire for checking the ignition, but more than that I don't know.

The spare short female black on the mag loom is tied into ignition so don't go there. Any other black in the main loom should find its way to earth. Easy to check. Ignition earth to stop the motor should be black white so don't go there. Still best to earth battery to the frame I think. If you have a battery male earth just take a short piece & fit a ring one end & female the other. Should be good. Just my opinion & others may disagree.
