Leaking oil pump was created by Barrya

My 2 stroke oil pump on my ct3 is leaking from the white plastic bleeder wheel...i know there is an oil seal behind this...my question is can this seal be fitted externally or does the whole pump need to be stripped and the seal fitted internally...thanks

My oil pump also leaked and left a puddle of oil on the floor. I can't tell where it leaked from. Does anyone know if this would require a rebuild or just a seal replacement somewhere?

I replaced the seal behind the white wheel, but it still leaks a bit. Also replaced the fiber washers on the upper fitting with copper washers, but now I've resigned myself to just removing the cover on occasion and soaking up whatever leaked. Usually half a teaspoon or less after 30 miles or so. Thinking of leaving a tampon in there :o)

No tampons in the house, so I stuffed a couple big cotton balls under it. More manly...

Strung a disposable nappy under my "67 Holden when the rear crank seal started dripping.
Did the job ok haha--wait a minute dear i've gotta change my nappy before we drive to town.
Actually that's not funny any more aproaching age 79 haha.
That brings back vivid memories of a competitor in our castrol 6 hour roadrace in nz in the "70's & his Guzzi was leaking around the head gasket. So went down to the local chemist & probably cleaned them out of tampons then forced them in between head & cylinder.
Can't remember how well or how long it worked for--or if they all spat out on the circuit.
Maybe he won his class when the others slid off behind him!!.
