Is RT2 and RT3 rear fender the same? was created by Huskyking

Just picked up  a nice rear fender for my 73 RT3 360
Are the RT2 and RT3 fenders the same.

From what I've seen, yes, '71, '72, '73 250 and 360 are the same. 
'69 and '70 will bolt on but didn't have the tab for the turn signal wire on the right side.
'68 is different. Plus early ones had the single rear taillight mounting bolt.
The hours spent riding my Enduros is not deducted from my life span.

thanks for the reply, I found an amazingly almost mint used fender for my 73 360.As I dove into today I found that it was going to fit. thank you for your help, only confirms my findings

Forgive the potentially daft question but does this mean a DT3 rear fender/mudguard will fit a 1970 RT1?

It’s just one of the many parts I need.

I believe it will. It will have an extra tab for the turn signal wires.

I almost bought a round taillight for my 70 DT1 until l learned the DT had a mid year change from the tombstone style but the RT started the year model with the round lens. not sure about the brackets. I know it’s a bit off topic but I found it interesting.

The ones I have the bolt spacing on the taillights are different. Tombstone is 60mm, round is 73mm.

To answer the question with a bit more added, the 71 through 73 DT1, DT2, DT3, RT1, RT2 and RT3 rear fender and taillights are all the same.
