When I replaced the right side crank seal and clutch friction plates, I decided just to use grease on the new gasket when I put the case on, instead of any kind of sealant. That was a good move, because I accidentally knocked the kickstarter return spring off its boss when I put it back together, and had to take the case off again to fix it. It still just has grease on the gasket, and it only weeps a tiny bit. Eventually I might order some better friction plates, and redo it, also roughing up the steels, and when I put it back together I'll still use grease, just in case...

Idealy it shouldn't leak at all if cases are good & grease [as you know] helps it when removing next time [or was it 5 minutes later haha]. I shouldn't even tell ya but i'm not running any gasket on my 360 & no leaking.
